Providing services locally and globally

Ålcom is a small and local company developing many of our products in-house. The work environment is very versatile and creative. We are unique in our combination of local services and international sales, where we cater to both the Åland population and large international companies. Digital communication is steadily becoming essential to our everyday lives and we want to contribute to this process locally and globally.

Our tech stack consists of Java 8/11, Play Framework, Akka.io, RabbitMQ, Splunk, Linux, Hibernate, Jquery/Bootstrap, PostgreSQL/MySQL, SOAP, RestAPI and LDAP. 

Responsibility and independence

Ålcom being a small-scale company, you’ll be heavily involved in all of our processes and may be given the opportunity to independently develop our products and services. The process from idea to implementation tends to be very short and we encourage each of our employees to contribute and have a real impact on the services we offer.
